All-Church Leadership Day February 6, 2016

First Church,

February 6February 6February 6!

Yes, February 6 is our all-church leadership day for 2016!  And as strongly as I can I would like to encourage you to come to this incredibly important once-a-year-event.

Perhaps you do not consider yourself a leader in the church.  But this is a day for all current church leaders (in any capacity) and any potential church leaders (that is all of us!).  We will be meeting from 8:30AM1:30PM (at the latest) in the Christian Life Center.   Our time together will include a continental breakfast and lunch.

This is a great day to be equipped, inspired, hear more about our vision, learn next steps/directions the church is looking to take, and connect in great conversation and fellowship with many others from First Church.

In addition this year we will be doing something new that I know many people are excited about.  This year for the first time many of our current staff will be presenting break-out sessions.  So if you have wanted to learn more about a particular ministry area, get more involved as a potential leader, or just get to know some of our staff better this will be the time to do it.

Staff who will be leading a break-out session include:

  • Rob Britton – Tech in Worship – Worship in Tech
  • DG Giordano – Small Group Ministry
  • Mitch Marcello – Acts Network
  • Aaron Russell – College & Outreach Ministries
  • Angie Tobias & Kathy Choate– “Beyond Children’s Ministry:  A New Way of Thinking”
  • Josh Tobias– Youth Ministry:  Hitting the Bullseye
  • Rick Waters– Caring Ministries & Pathway of Discipleship.
  • Mallory Weymer – Communications

Our leadership days have become incredibly important in the life of our church because leadership development is something that we highly value in our culture.  Sometimes we know that folks think, “This day is not for me.  I am not a leader.” But remember that God uses leaders with servant hearts and spirits of humility.  My hope would be that that is ALL of us.   Please consider this my personal invitation to you.  I hope you will do all you can to come and join us this day.  The day is free to you, but we do need to ask you to sign up so that we can prepare accordingly.  Please use the communication card today to let us know you are coming.  Looking forward to seeing you there!

In Christ,

Pastor Matt
